From nomination to recognition

Selection Process

A structured, evidence-led journey from initial scrutiny and interviews to Jury review and the awards presentation.

Obtain the form

Request the relevant category-specific nomination form using the company's official email address or letterhead.

Multiple nominations

Eligible enterprises may submit separate nominations in multiple categories. The applicable terms and entry fee apply to each nomination.

Confidentiality

Applicant information and documents are treated as confidential and shared only as required with Jury or Selection Committee members.

Submission

Submit the completed form, supporting documents and entry-fee payment in favour of “Small & Medium Business Development Chamber of India”, payable at Mumbai. WEDC has authorised the Chamber to collect the entry fee.

Application checklist

Documents required

Complete, relevant and verifiable documentation supports a fair and efficient evaluation.

Covering letter on company letterhead, including a list of the documents submitted

Completed nomination form with appropriate supporting documents

Enterprise profile in PPT format, limited to 7-10 pages

Principal applicant profile in approximately 200 words

Audited balance sheets for the previous three years

Remarkable achievements, outstanding contributions and inspiring story in approximately 500 words

AV or branding film, if available

Photograph of the principal applicant

Relevant award and recognition certificates with presentation photographs from reputed organisations

Six defined stages

How nominations are evaluated

  1. STAGE 1

    Screening, scrutiny and evaluation of nominations as per the criteria and compliances

  2. STAGE 2

    Personal or virtual interviews for shortlisted nominations, if required

  3. STAGE 3

    Factory, office, business premises or project visit, if necessary and with prior notice

  4. STAGE 4

    Final review and recommendation by Jury Members to the Management Board

  5. STAGE 5

    Announcement of award winners

  6. STAGE 6

    Grand Awards Presentation Ceremony (function date will be communicated)

Management discretion

The Selection Committee and Association management reserve the right to modify nomination categories, evaluation criteria, the selection process and any necessary factory, office or project visits.
